For more than 30 years,
Trans-Tek, Inc. has been providing
the very best
linear and angular
displacement
and linear velocity
transducers
in the business.
Measurement ranges:
0.5 to 24 inches
Maximum non-linearity:
±2.5% of full scale
Housing O.D.:
Varies depending on model
Operating temperature range:
- 65°F to 140°F
Sensitivity:
Up to 500mV/inch/second
Excitation voltage:
Not required!
Linear Velocity Transducers (LVT)

Trans-Tek Linear Velocity Transducers provide a DC Voltage
Output proportional to the instantaneous velocity of the object
being measured. By moving a magnet through a pair of series
opposed coils, the transducer will output a DC voltage proportional
to the instantaneous velocity. These analog transducers need
no
excitation voltage, and are extremely rugged. Velocity can be
measured over linear ranges from 0.50 to 24 inches. The Series
100 Linear Velocity Transducers are inductive, instantaneous
velocity transducers. By moving a magnet through a pair of series
opposed coils, the transducer will generate a DC voltage
proportional to the instantaneous velocity.
No excitation voltage is
required
. Available ranges are from 0.5" to 24.0".
Typical LVT applications
  • Shock absorber testing machine
  • Feed rate on injection molding machine
  • Glass pipette pulling
  • PCB board drilling rate

Trans-Tek, Inc. from Connecticut, USA has built an outstanding reputation for
providing industry leading  Linear,  Angular Displacement and Linear Velocity
Transducers. The main focus has been linear displacement sensors based on
LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) technology.

When it comes to solving
displacement or stroke or positioning measurement
challenges the Trans-Tek engineers, with their extensive experience, will find
the right position or velocity sensor to meet the customer's requirements. The
complete production facility is geared towards short lead times - whether it's for
a standard or custom sensor solution. The Research & Development (R&D)
program is continuously expanding the product line to address many industrial
applications.

For over three decades, Trans-Tek has helped hundreds of OEM customers
and end-users develop the perfect sensing solution for their application. In
support of the customers, the Trans-Tek formula for success involves three key
steps:

- educate on the fundamentals of all our transducers
- highlight the critical specifications of our products, and
- compare them to other sensor technologies, as needed

The products have been extensively used in many demanding and rigorous
applications such as aerospace, medical, motor assembly, flight simulators
and plastics industry to name a few.
